The Splashworld 10K & 5K
The Splashworld 10K and 5K are Tramore’s community road races, organised in association with Tramore Athletics Club. Both distances will return in 2027, welcoming experienced athletes, first-time racers and everyone in between.

2026 Race Recap
The 2026 Splashworld 10K and 5K took place on Friday 24 April 2026 at 7:30pm, starting and finishing at Splashworld in Tramore. Tramore AC promoted the event, with 150 finishers in the 10K and 73 in the 5K.

The Course
Recent editions have used a flat, fast and chip-timed 10K route starting and finishing at Splashworld on Railway Square. The course takes runners along the scenic Tramore promenade and through the streets of Tramore.
The final 2027 routes for both the 10K and 5K will be confirmed with the full event announcement.
Getting there: Railway Square is directly outside Splashworld, a short walk from Tramore town centre and the beach. Follow event-day signs and marshal directions for parking and access.
Tramore Athletics Club
Tramore Athletic Club is a thriving local club for juvenile and senior athletes of all abilities. With 248 registered members recorded in September 2025, the club brings together young athletes, competitive runners, recreational members and masters from across Tramore and the wider Waterford area.
At the Heart of the Race
Tramore AC volunteers help organise and promote the Splashworld 10K and 5K, creating a friendly community event for club runners, first-time racers and walkers. The 2026 event welcomed 223 finishers across both distances.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the course flat?
Yes. The course is flat and fast, taking runners along the Tramore promenade and through Tramore. The final 2027 route maps will be published before registration opens.
Can I walk?
Yes. Walkers are welcome to take part. Please follow the event-day instructions and marshal directions while on the course.
Will the race be chip timed?
Yes. Both races will be chip timed, with official results published online after the event.
Can I use the pool after the race?
Yes. Race participants can use the Splashworld pool, showers and sauna after the race. Full access arrangements will be included in the race-day instructions.
Is there parking?
Yes. Parking is available in the adjoining areas. Splashworld’s main car park will be closed for the start and finish line, so please follow event-day signage and marshal directions.
