- Saturday: 08:00 – 19:00
- Sunday: 08:00 – 18:00
Important: Centre opening hours are not continuous Public Swim times. Check the dated timetable before travelling.
We close every year from 24–27 December inclusive and on New Year’s Day.
Where are you located?
Splashworld is located at Railway Square, Tramore, Co. Waterford: just steps from Tramore’s iconic beach.
Phone: 051 390176
Email: [email protected]
Is there parking available?
Yes, free parking is available for all visitors directly outside the centre.
Do I need to book in advance?
Public Swim: Yes, pre-booking is essential. Our sessions are capacity-managed to give everyone a more enjoyable experience, less queueing, more space in the pool, and smoother changing facilities. While Splashworld’s maximum capacity is 250, we deliberately operate many public sessions below this level for comfort and safety. Book online via our booking portal or the Splashworld app.
Gym: No booking is needed for members; swipe at the gym door during gym opening hours.
Lane swim: Members can arrive without booking during scheduled lane times. Non-members can pay at reception, subject to availability. Always check the current lane timetable before travelling.
Swimming Lessons: These run on a termly basis. Apply through our website and we’ll contact you when spaces become available.
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your session start time. This allows time to check in at reception and get changed before your session begins.
How long is a swim session?
Public swim sessions are typically 60 minutes or 90 minutes depending on the session type. Lane swim sessions are 60 minutes.
Do you have lockers?
Yes, lockers are provided in the changing village. You’ll need a €1 coin which is returnable after use.
Do you have family changing facilities?
Yes, we have modern cubicles suitable for families in our recently refurbished changing village. These are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
How far in advance can I book?
Public swims: You can book up to 14 days in advance.
Fitness classes: You can book up to 3 days in advance, and as late as 2 hours before the class starts.
Our timetable is updated weekly, and while most sessions stay consistent during school term, school holidays (Easter, summer, midterms) bring bigger changes: so always check ahead and book early.
What is the cancellation policy for public swims?
Please cancel at least 24 hours in advance if you can’t attend. This frees up your space for someone on the transfer list (waiting list).
When a session is full, others can join the transfer list. If you cancel in time, the next person is automatically offered your spot.
What happens if I miss a fitness class?
Fitness classes must be cancelled more than 2 hours before the start time. Cancelling inside the 2-hour window, or not turning up at all, results in a strike. Once we are within two hours there is no realistic way to offer the space to someone else. Three strikes temporarily pauses your booking privileges.
I attended but still received a strike
Strikes are applied automatically if no swipe is recorded within 60 minutes of your booked time, even if you did attend. This occasionally happens if the turnstile is not working or you were signed in manually at reception.
Contact reception on 051 390176 or email [email protected] and we will clear it. Always scan at the gym door to be safe.
Pool & Water Features
What is the pool temperature?
Our pool water is heated to approximately 29.5°C, with the air temperature maintained at around 30°C. This is comfortable for swimmers of all ages including babies and young children, and warmer than many standard swimming pools.
